Blue Hole Location - Near Dwejra Point and Dwejra bay
The Blue Hole is located near Dwejra Point and Dwejra bay, Gozo.
As you look at the sea the Blue hole is located down the steps then follower the rough path down the gully on the right
Take the San Lawrenz road out of Victoria (Rabat). Pass through San Lawrenz and continue to the coast.
The road ends in a large car park.
There are several attractions that can be visited from this Car park, all within a few minutes walk.
From the car park descend the steps and follow gully on the right to the sea

In rough weather the sea surges both over the protective rocks that can be seen at the far side of the Blue hole, and through the underwater arch in the rock
wall
The blue hole is a clear large rock pool about 10 metres in diameter and near to the Azure window
The hole can be viewed from the surrounding rocks, or follow the rough path over sharp rocks to the waters edge
Very spectacular to view in rough weather, but view from a safe location.

The blue hole has been voted into Europes top 10 dive sites and one of the most dived, dive site on Gozo
The blue hole is a cicular formation of limestone rock creating a clear large rock pool leading to an enjoyable and memerable dive area
The pool has an impresive underwater arch at around 8 - 15 metres giving access to the open sea for divers and snorkellers, .and the various dive sites

Because rocks are dropping from the
Azure window
we recomend that divers and snorkellers do not venture under or near the arch
Within the 16 metre deep hole is a cave
In the imediate area are sheer underwater drop off,. chimneys to swim up, and arches to swim through. The sea bed is strewn with large boulders
