Ghar Lapsi Malta Introduction
- Ghar lapsi is a very small picturesque fishing village
- There is no beach, the coast is extremely rocky ensuring crystal clear water
- Many rate this as the best swimming on Malta. There are a few metal steps in the bays. These steps allow you to avoid the black sea urchin spine that are on the rocks.
- 2 very beautiful bays that:
- Are idea for swimming
- Act as harbours for the fishing boats.
- That attracts swimmers, snorkellers & scuba diving
- The fishing boats also do boat trips to the Blue Grotto 3.5 Km away, with a longer sea journey, than the one from Wied iz-Zurrieq
- Ghar Lapsi is also popular with Scuba Divers & snorkellers with its underwater caves
- Nearest bus stop 114metres
- Large Car Park 114metres.
- Disabled parking slightly nearer. Access to seafront via a very steep slope
- There are a few large flat areas that can be used for sunbathing if the boats that are stored there are at sea.

The path in the lower left leads to a cave. There is also a path that goes past the Carmen's Restaurant to another sheltered bay

Of interest to divers. If you look at the narrow band of rock to left at look at the rocks forming an oval stretch of water you will find a small & short underwater cave that goes through the rock to the open sea. This entry makes an interesting start to a dive.

SCUBA Diving & Snorkelling at Ghar Lapsi
- There are many underwater caves in the area which makes Ghar Lapsi very popular with SCUBA divers. With plenty of shallower places of interest it is also popular with snorkellers & beginner divers
